Connect With Nature

NHS Estate

Working with a large NHS Trust to provide a strategy for integrating nature and health outcomes into the corporate plan and estate across the county of Kent, England.

We worked with the Trust’s board, senior staff and users to scope a strategy for integrating nature into the NHS Trust estate. Through workshops, staff surveys and site visits we gathered an evidence base for benefits of greening the estate – for biodiversity, climate change, circular econony, staff wellbeing and clinical and community outcomes.

With Associates Nick Gant and Julia Roberts, we created nature-inspired, experiential workshops to help staff and patients bring to the life the design possibilities in specific sites, and worked with the project leads to successfully identify costed greening and engagement interventions to be adopted in the NHS Green Plan.

The seeds we sowed through this project will help us reap the benefits later.
